Voyage of Wanderlust
Sunset over a calm ocean, with an orange sky and scattered clouds near the horizon. A railing is visible in the foreground.

No, We’re Not the Mega Yacht Wanderlust

We’re the Real Offshore Cruisers

If you landed here looking for the 85-meter mega yacht Wanderlust with the crew, the pool, and the charter fee that rivals a house—well… you're in the wrong place. But we’re glad you found us anyway.

We're Walt and Jane, and our yacht, SV Wanderlust, is our 2014 Passport 545 Aft Cockpit, an ocean-crossing sailboat that we've outfitted for real offshore bluewater cruising. No crew, no butlers, no hot tub (unless you count the cockpit in heavy rain). Just two people, one boat, and thousands of miles under sail.

Sailing vessel Wanderlust in her slip in Marsden Cove Marina during sunset, with vibrant orange and blue sky reflecting on the calm water.

We live aboard full time and share stories, systems, and salt-streaked lessons from a life far from the marina scene. Our goal isn’t to impress. It’s to inspire. To show that it’s still possible to travel by wind, anchor in remote atolls, and live simply, but fully, under the stars.

This isn't a floating condo. It's a floating home. And everything you see here, every mile, every fix, every sunset at sea, comes from doing it ourselves.

If that’s more your style than marble countertops and a crewed cocktail hour, welcome aboard.
